Delhi Electricity Regulatory Commission Recruitment For Various Positions.

The Govt. of India had enacted the Electricity Regulatory Commissions Act, 1998 (No.14 of 1998) on 2nd July, 1998 with the objective of providing for the establishment of a Central Electricity Regulatory Commission and State Electricity Regulatory Commissions, rationalisation of electricity tariff, transparent policies regarding subsidies, promotion of efficient and environmentally benign policies and for matters connected therewith or incidental thereto.
A functional body for regulating the electricity through out Delhi is Delhi Electricity Regulatory Commission
[ DERC ]. It was formed on 1999 by the Government of NCT of Delhi. It controls the power sector reforms of Delhi. It also gives advice to the Government on all the matters related to the electricity commission referred by the Government. Its office is located at Malviya Nagar of New Delhi.



Job Details : Applications are invited from Indian Nationals and candidates can apply latest by 4/04/12 by sending an application form in a prescribed format.

Pay scale : Rs.37400-67000/-
a)1 post is for Executive Director, 1 is for Joint Director ( Performance Standard & Engineering ), 1 is for Advisor in Finance department.
Under the pay scale of Rs.15600-39100/-
b)2 vacancies are for the post of Deputy Director in Pay & Accounts and Tariff Economics, 1 post is for Deputy Secretary.
c)Under the pay scale of Rs. 9300-34800/-
2 posts are for Junior Law Officer.

Required Qualification: PG degree in Economics/ MBA Finance with experience as professional economist is required for the post of Executive Director. 
Candidates applying for the post of Joint Director should posses degree in electrical/ mechanical engineering along with experience. 
Degree of MBA in Finance or CA along with engineering degree and experience in power sector is necessary for the post of Advisor. 
For the post of Deputy Director, candidates should have PG degree in the relevant discipline with experience and computing knowledge. 
Candidates interested in the post of Deputy Secretary should be graduate and should posses degree of MBA. 
While, degree of LLB and experience of handling legal matters in middle level is essential for the post of Junior Law Officer.
